Who is responsible for your information?

NestHub is operated by Gary Stickland, trading as NestHub. I am the data controller responsible for personal information collected through this website.

This notice covers NestHub’s marketing website, waiting list and contact forms.

What information we collect

When you join the waiting list, we collect your first name, email address and surname if you choose to provide it.

When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, message and any information you include in our correspondence. Please avoid sending children’s personal information, financial records or other sensitive information through the contact form.

Our website providers also process technical information, such as your IP address, browser, device and pages visited, to operate the website, protect it from misuse and provide website statistics.

How we use your information

We use waiting-list details to send the NestHub launch and early-access emails you have requested. Our lawful basis is your consent.

We use contact details and correspondence to respond to enquiries and feedback. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people interested in NestHub and developing the service.

We also rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure, functioning website to prevent spam and misuse.

Joining the waiting list is optional. Contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

Cookies and spam protection

We use essential cookies to operate the website and remember your cookie preferences. Optional analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site and are restricted until you accept them.

You can accept, decline or manage optional cookies using the banner, and change your choice through the Cookie Preferences control.

Our contact forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam. Google may process technical information about your device and interaction with the form. Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Who receives your information

We use Squarespace to host this website and store form submissions and waiting-list details, Google Workspace to manage email correspondence, and Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

International processing

Our providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States.

Squarespace’s data-processing terms provide for transfers under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, with contractual safeguards where applicable. Google’s applicable terms also describe its international processing and transfer safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep waiting-list information while providing the launch and early-access updates you requested. We review the list annually and remove information when it is no longer needed.

If you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing emails. We may retain a minimal record of your email address and opt-out so that we can respect your choice.

We normally delete ordinary enquiry records within 12 months after the enquiry is resolved. We may keep relevant records longer where needed to meet a legal obligation or deal with a dispute.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw your consent to waiting-list emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting admin@nesthub.uk. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdraw consent.

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy.

You also have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to the use of your information for direct marketing.
